Snowy Saturday
The warnings were dire: a snow emergency. Our respective campuses warned us about parking and roads. Citizens mobbed the grocery stores to stock up on staples. Ballet was canceled; a local girl wept. Fortunately, we were on the northern fringe of a storm that buried south Jersey and Philly, but left us with a few powdery inches. Perfect, it turned out, for snow angels followed by hot chocolate.
